The EMR Systems Analyst – HIM Support is responsible for the identification, analysis and/or resolution of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) quality control indexing, upload, distribution and/or related document processing issues.

The EMR Systems Analyst- HIM Support plays a critical role in ensuring the timeliness of EMR documents by means of hands-on assistance in priority indexing and uploading, processing of documents pended in upload, scanning, indexing and QA review queues and similar priority HIM work queues.  Additional responsibilities include being a resource for less senior staff requiring assistance and/or training needed to ensure chart processing tasks are completed timely and accurately. 

Education and formal training:  Associate degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience in the health information management field. 

Work Experience: Skilled position requiring two (2) years of health information management or related technical experience to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to efficiently perform assigned job.   Candidate must have excellent PC knowledge and skills including proficiently and independently working HIM quality control indexing and upload queues, priority work queues and related time limited tasks.   Previous HIM document processing experience and proficiency required.  Windows, HIM applications, and hospital information system software.
